About Arctic Monkeys

Emerging from Sheffield in 2002, Arctic Monkeys — Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Matt Helders, and Nick O'Malley — became one of the first bands to rise to fame through internet hype. Their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not became the fastest-selling debut in UK chart history.

Alex Turner's razor-sharp lyrics and the band's restless sonic evolution have taken them from frenetic garage rock to the sleek, lounge-noir of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and the cinematic sweep of The Car.

With each album, Arctic Monkeys reinvent themselves while maintaining an unmistakable identity — witty, cool, and endlessly compelling.
